Venice is a north Italian city and also the capital of region Veneto. Venice is the most beautiful city I have ever been to. It is also known as the “city of bridges”.”City of Water” and “Queen of the Adriatic”. Venice is famous for its canals. It consists of 118 islands connected by means of about 400 bridges. This makes it very unique among the beautiful cities across the globe. The city is built on logs of wood that are submersed in water for a long time and that has made rock hard. The primary mode of transportation in Venice is through water boats most of which are mechanized. The city of Venice is found to be sinking in recent times though they have taken measures to stop them. Venice is described as “undoubtedly the most beautiful city built by man” by Luigi Barzini in The New York Times. Venice is certainly the place to visit for all.
